Attorney Matthew P. Blouin is a native of Charlton, Massachusetts. A graduate of Western New England University and Western New England University School of Law, Attorney Blouin was one of only three graduates to complete the “3+3″ program in the Spring of 2012, attaining his Juris Doctor after six years of study as opposed to the traditional seven years.
Prior to passage of the Massachusetts Bar in 2012, Attorney Blouin clerked at the firm from 2009 to 2012, assisting with discovery, trial preparation and litigation in the Worcester Probate & Family Court.
Since admission to the bar, Attorney Blouin’s practice concentrates in family and probate law, civil litigation, corporate law, and real estate. Attorney Blouin’s experience in family and probate law includes filing and prosecution of divorces, modifications, complaints for contempt, 209A Abuse Prevention orders, petitions for adoption, guardianships and estates, and drafting and negotiating separation agreements. Attorney Blouin also excels in mediating probate and family cases; from simple modifications of child support to complex parenting schedules, Attorney Blouin prides himself in maintaining a respectful dialogue and offering creative solutions to parties in high stress situations.
For corporate clients, Attorney Blouin has incorporated small businesses and limited liability corporations, engaged in debt collection, has reviewed and drafted various commercial contracts, and has filed necessary UCC and other corporate forms with the Secretary of the Commonwealth.
In addition to being an attorney at law, Matthew Blouin is a licensed Massachusetts Real Estate Broker. His experience in real estate includes representation of buyers and sellers in residential real estate transactions as well as estate planning conveyancing.
Attorney Blouin’s licensure as a Real Estate Broker permits him to provide estate clients with the distinct advantage of dual representation as an attorney adept at drafting and filing estates with the Probate Court and as a broker capable of listing estate properties for sale. By eliminating the need to deal with multiple offices, Attorney Blouin is able to streamline the difficult process of dealing with the management and sale of properties held by estates.
